Award reflects company’s consistently high level of customer service
Cool Tech Mechanical has earned the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of service provided to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2014.
“Cool Tech’s mission from its inception has been to provide home owners with an alternative to the high pressure “bait and switch” tactics of the larger Mega Contractors. We also strive to provide a reliable and overall better value HVAC experience for our customers compared to the one man “Chuck in a Truck” company that will basically shut down when the owner and only tech goes on vacation.” said Cool Tech Mechanical co-owner Jon Kalp.
“We don’t pressure our customers into high cost repairs or system replacements that are not needed.” Jon said. “When you see ridiculously low service call prices, like $29.00, or claims of saving 50% off or more on new systems, this should send up a red flag.” “You are about to be high pressured into high cost, maybe unnecessary, repairs or replacement.” Jon said. “Everyone knows you can’t send a trained and qualified service tech that is earning $35 an hour or more out for $29.00 and stay in business.” “That tech is expected to turn that $29 call in to a repair for hundreds or a replacement for thousands if it is needed or not, or lose his job.” “Our basic $69.00 service call will at least let us break even so we can walk away doing minor or even no repairs if they are not needed at the time.” “It allows us to give an honest assessment and build customer loyalty, so they will call us for their future needs because they know they can trust us.”
“Only about 5 percent of the Air Conditioning companies in the DFW area have performed so consistently well enough to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a really high standard.”
Angie’s List Super Service Award 2014 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; the company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.
Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.
Cool Tech Mechanical has also been chosen as one of the recommended, $10,000 satisfaction guaranteed contractors on The Good Contractors List (TGCL). The “Good Contractor Guarantee” is designed to provide the ultimate protection for the homeowners that use the list. It is TGCL mission to ensure that every person that trusts in TGCL to provide them a safe place to hire home service contractors and will be 100% satisfied with the contractor they find and use on the list. Contractor’s that have been included in TGCL have gone through back ground checks and a vetting process that is designed to ensure the honesty and integrity of the individual contractors. “We are honored to be included on the Good Contractors List” said Jon, “I can assure you they will never have to pay out anything to our customers as we stand behind what we do 100%. But it can still be nice piece of mind for our customers to know our work is also backed by TGCL $10,000 guarantee.”
